Photos: TROT's Jessica Rekos Day of Love

The favorite pastime of a little girl killed last year in Connecticut brought an afternoon of enjoyment to 25 Tucson children trying to cope with their own grief.

Sunday, Therapeutic Riding Of Tucson (TROT) organized its first Jessica Rekos Day of Love in remembrance of the 6-year-old — one of 20 children — killed Dec. 14, 2012 in Newtown. The nonprofit invited children from Tu Nidito, a resource for grieving families, to ride horses and interact with the therapy animals.
