HARDY, J.J.

Long before he became a major-league All-Star, J.J. Hardy was a pitcher and star infielder at Sabino High School in the 1990s. Scouts flocked to see Hardy, who could throw as hard as 92 mph. He now plays shortstop with Baltimore.
