After a diverse career that included stints in computer systems analysis, web design, academia, technical writing and developing my own small business, I have "retired" to my dream job in real estate. With advanced degrees in business, statistics and public health, not only do I bring a wealth of business experience and education to my clients, but my diverse background gives me the ability to understand other people's needs and perspectives. I grew up in Southeast Iowa where hard work, integrity and a positive outlook on life were an integral part of the values instilled in me. They have been the cornerstones of my success throughout my career.
One of my passions has always been respecting the earth and the environment by living and helping others live green. As a National Association of Realtors Green Designee, I have advanced training in seeking out, understanding, and marketing homes with green features. Green is the next important wave in real estate, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it also saves money. The challenge is to separate fact from fiction and make informed decisions in regards to investing in the right green choices in buying, building or selling a home.
