Albert Maurice Trice
On the evening of June 28, 2013, Albert (Al) peacefully ended his time on earth having lived a full and bountiful life. After dedicating his working years to the printing industry, Al retired in 1994 and moved to Tucson making the Saddlebrook Community his last and most treasured home. During his years in Tucson, he had given his energies, time and talents to many local institutions such as: Catalina Community Services, Junior Achievement and Oro Valley Community Hospital. However, in his own words: "I have received more than I ever gave". He married Sallie Solawetz in 1950 and later married Carole Steele in 1980. Al is survived by his five children, Cliff (Deb) Trice, Linda (Lloyd) Sorensen, Cathie (Frederic) Whiteside, Peter (Maki) Trice, and Susan Trice; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. They will all miss his caring heart, compassion and sense of humor. A memorial gathering is tentatively being planned for Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in the Saddlebrook Community. Further details will be available Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Please join Al's children in a Celebration of his Life and reflection of his effervescent spirit. In lieu of flowers, Al would have preferred donations be directed to Catalina Community Services, 3535 East Hawser Street. Tucson, AZ 85739. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET CATALINA.
