Anthony S. Leto

born January 5, 1921 died May 14, 2013. Tony was proud to be born in Manhattan, NY to Sicilian parents. He was married November 10, 1946, he loved his wife, Angela Dazzo; his children, Frank (Margaret Ybarra), Mary, Anthony (Susan Buffum) and his grandchildren, Lucas (his mother Jean Blansett), Graham and Chloe. He also loved his siblings, Steve, Rose, Joseph and Buster. Tony served in WWII from 1942 to 1946 in the Army Air Corps. He was ecstatic to meet his brother Joe on assignment and then meet his extended family in Sicily. Tony worked hard throughout his different careers such as Lido Glove, Food Fair and Valley Stream Parks Dept. and he was respected by his co-workers. He was passionate about golf and bowling and competed into his 80's. Tony loved music especially Bing Crosby and Artie Shaw. In NY, he was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and head usher at his church. He lived life to the fullest and all who knew him will miss him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Santa Cruz Catholic Church. Visitation 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2013 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m. Cryptside Service 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Holy Hope Mausoleum.
