AROS, Arthur R. Born in Calabasas, Arizona on June 9, 1924, Art was reunited July 5, 2013 with Emma, the love of his life, to whom he was married for 50 years. Survived by daughters, Yolanda (Richard) Aviles, Anna Marie (Bob) Sugden, Elsa (Armando) Quiroz, Christine Treiber, and grandson, Billy (Dana) Aviles who he raised; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren (two due in the fall) and one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Victor Aros and sisters, Connie Almada, Mercy Aros, and Eva Romo. He retired from IBEW Local 570 and served in the US Army 82nd Airborne, 507th PIR in WWII. As part of his eight combat jumps, he jumped into Normandy on D-Day (at age 19), the Battle of the Rhine River, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and four Bronze Stars. We will miss his humor, stories of coyotes and trolls, and beauty advice. He is with his compadres in Heaven sharing times at Pozo Nuevo, Palo Alto, and other ranches around Tucson. Very, very special thanks to precious granddaughter Zenaida, who so lovingly provided care to her beloved Tata Art. Visitation Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 204 S. Stone Rosary 9:30 a.m. Mass 11:00 a.m. Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave., Interment South Lawn.
