"Chuck" Marc Stine

Marc Robert Stine, 64, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Tucson, AZ. Marc, or Chuck as he was known to his friends, was born December 17, 1949 in Bartlesville, OK, to Robert James and Wintress Colene (Wiley) Stine. He graduated from Sooner High School in 1968 and attended college at Northeastern A&M in Miami, OK before moving to Tucson in 1971, where he worked remodeling homes, creating sterling silver jewelry, and later owned his own landscaping business. At the time of his early retirement in 2011, he was in the building industry specializing in metal roofing. He loved his home that he built in the Empire Mountains near Sonoita and always had some project underway there. Chuck was a true Arizona cowboy. Never without his white hat and cowboy boots, he was a gentleman to the ladies and a pursuer of life.He was known for his sense of humor and the teller of many funny stories. Marc is survived by his son, David of Tucson; father, Robert Stine; brother, Gregory Stine (Susan); nephew, Christopher Stine, all of Bartlesville, OK; his beloved border collie, Mira and innumerable friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Wintress Colene (Wiley) Stine. David took his father "home" to Bartlesville, OK where he was laid to rest on May 28, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a celebration of his life in Tucson on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at El Saguarito Restaurant, 1763 E. Prince Rd. to share stories and remember our dear friend.
