The two were married in 1958 and soon moved to the California Bay Area. Dolly and Ed welcomed their first son, Gregory Edward, April 15, 1963 and their second son, Rodney John, March 19, 1965. Dolly loved everything about being a homemaker and mother to her sons. She was an also an excellent cook and baker whose bitterballen, flensjes and speculaas were legendary! In 1993, Dolly and Ed retired to Oro Valley, where they met yet another wonderful, large group of friends. Dolly enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors in her Rancho Vistoso neighborhood. In addition to the move to Arizona in 1993, Dolly also became an "Oma" to her only grandchild, Sophia Grace. Dolly loved being an Oma and treasured her time with Sophia.
