Elizabeth Ann (Strecker) Stewart

passed away on July 25, 2014, at the age of 82, in Chesnee, South Carolina from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was born on August 22, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Aloysius and Agnes (Flynn) Strecker. She was married to Richard Stewart on May 1, 1954. Elizabeth was a very active member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Rialto, California, as well as employed by the Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino, California. After retiring to Oro Valley AZ, she became an active member and leader of the "Project Linus" chapter in Tucson AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Carl "Pete" Strecker. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Stewart; daughter, Kathleen and husband Tim Weeks; daughter, Karen Stewart; son, Gary Stewart, and son, Kevin and wife Anne Stewart; brother, Bill Strecker; sister, Dorothy Melchior; sister, Jean Boos; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Stewart) Poppen, Elissa (Weeks) Stogner, Lauren Stewart, Lindsey (Weeks) Gonzales, Adam Stewart, Derek Orejel, Leigh Ann (Stewart) Diefendorf, Keith Orejel, Brenna Weeks, and eight great-grandchildren, Cameron Poppen, Tyson Poppen, Baylee Stewart, Gabriella Poppen, Gavin Stewart, Dean Diefendorf.
