Gertrude Irene Hadley

89, passed peacefully on August 26, 2013 at home with her family by her side. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Mac E. Hadley; her parents, Patrick and Gertrude Fitzgerald and daughters, Gail Moeller and Linda Fleck. She is survived by son, Charles Spevak (Deborrah); daughter, Martha Hadley; grandchildren, Raymond Carroll, Thomas Spevak, Gail Fleck, Christina Centuori and Aaron Spevak and great-grandchildren, Michael Carroll, Nathan and Sarah Galloway, Brandy and Ryan Hadley and Peyton and Derreck Centuori. Gertrude was born in Massachusetts on February 4, 1924. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1966 with her husband. She was very involved and instrumental in his career as a professor at the University of Arizona. She typed his textbook on endocrinology and many other publications that he was involved with. Gertrude had a wonderful life raising her children and grandchildren. She traveled to such faraway places as England, Scotland, France, Japan and Brazil. She made many lifetime friends through her journeys. She will be deeply missed. Donations can be made to the University of Arizona Foundation C.O.M Hadley Memorial Award, P.O.
