HANEY, Jo, as the last of the sunset lit the Catalina Mountains on Sunday, December 22, 2013, Jo Haney passed peacefully from this life after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by her loving family: husband of 55 years, Clark; children, Susan, Sam and Trang. Also survived by grandson, Long (Tram); siblings, Tom (Judy), Pat, John and Amy (Rick); sister-in-law, Beth; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and preceded in death by brother, Billy (Glenda). Born Jo Ann on January 12, 1937, to Roy A. and Dorothy H. (Fuqua) Bullington at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, graduated from Amphitheater High School and involved in 4H, attended the University of Arizona before her marriage to Clark in 1958. She was employed by the telephone company and the Bank of Douglas before starting her family. Active in her church, community organizations, her children's schools, and a full social life, she also earned an Associate's degree from Pima Community College. A music lover, she sang in the church choir and community chorus, played piano and attended the opera. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting, and being with family and friends. Jo will be dearly missed by many. The family will have a Visitation on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL MORTUARY, 7 E. University Blvd. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 915 E. 4th Street in Tucson. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Jo's memory be made to the music program at First United Methodist Church or to Alzheimer's research.
