HARRIS, Bernard B., 93, of Tucson, died February 8, 2014. Survived by his daughters, Jane Harris and Nancy (Stanley) Ossman; sister, Estelle Cohen; grandchildren, Gregory, Hannah and Hal (Rachael) Ossman; great-grandchildren, Sage and Erin Ossman and the following angels: Maria (Lala) Fimbres, Adriana Fimbres and Anjelica Barcelo, who took such excellent care of him. Bernard was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather and community advocate for the many great causes and organizations in his beloved 161st Bronx neighborhood, in White Plains, NY and in Tucson. He worked since the age of 14 delivering tuxedos and bridal gowns and ended his long career as the owner of The Graded A Beef Co. butcher shop near Yankee Stadium. He lived joyfully and optimistically throughout his life, expressing gratitude for and to all. He fought and led with pride in his service during WWII. Our "Old Soldier" gave us confidence to live courageously, with gusto, humor and commitment. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY AND CEMETERY.
