Hermila F. Ybarra
was born in Morenci, AZ on May 13, 1921, the Lord came and took her in her sleep on April 10, 2013. She suffered severe arthritis for many years. She was married to Thomas M. Ybarra. In 1956 the family moved to Tucson, AZ where she worked for Jacomes, Levy's, Cele Peterson, Myersons, Save-Co and Korby's as a sales clerk and cashier. She also worked as a volunteer at old Kino Hospital in the emergency room where she was and aide for 35 years and was awarded many pins for outstanding work. She was an excellent cook and cooked many meals for her family especially on holidays. She loved the sun and enjoyed working in her yard. She used to ride the city buses until eight years ago and was well known to the bus drivers. She was beautiful inside and out, she had a huge loving heart and was always there for her family. She was extraordinary, kind, generous, interesting, knowledgeable and very funny. She had superior strength and wisdom. She was very loved by her family and we were richly blessed to have her and miss her until we see her again. She is survived by her brother, Manuel (Emma) Flores; sister, Irene De la O of Safford, AZ; two sons, Thomas (Gloria), Daniel Ybarra and daughter, Ida Y. Jacobs; three grandchildren, Leo T, Joanna, David (Luz) Jacobs and six great-grandchildren, Leo R., Priscilla, Vincent Jacobs, Desiree Spratt, Victoria and Ernesto Morales; four great-grandchildren, Julian Hodge, Luke Anaya, Darrell Cox and Emya Jacobs and numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, Friday, April 19, 2013, Viewing 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Rosary 7:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Mass will be held at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Burial will follow at East Lawn Mausoleum.
