Her first passion in life was her music. At the tender age of 16, she and her sister Betty, known as the "Las Golondrinas" sang for Don Jacinto Orosco on KEVT Radio. She also sang with well-known orchestras, such as Pa Quintero, Lalo Robles, Lalo Guerrero and El Comite de Tucson, "Club Zacatecas". Her second passion was cooking. Oh man! The tortillas those two little hands with arthritis would make. Our mother possessed many titles - Our Matriarch, Our Queen Bee, Mi Cabesita Blanca and Grand Mamá. Mom, you have not left us, all we have to do is look up to heaven to see you. We love you and you'll always be in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace. Our special thanks to the nurses and staff at Park Avenue Health and Rehabilitation Center.
