70, of Tucson, Arizona, went to heaven Friday, July 5, 2013. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 28, 1942 to Mary (Mae) Niegocki. Jim graduated from Amphitheatre High School in 1960. He was married to Shirley Niegocki in 1963. Mae and sons, Fred and Jim, moved to Tucson in November, 1950. After attending Amphitheater public schools, Jim continued at University of Arizona. He left his studies and the UofA baseball team to support his family in 1964. He began his career with the phone company as a lineman and retired as an engineer 25 years later. He was an active member of both First Baptist Church and Casas church. Twenty years playing city softball, coaching at Thornydale Little League, and attending countless ball games all attest to his love for the game. He was devoted to his Savior most of all, which left plenty of devotion for his family. His most important DIY projects were always for others; family, friends, and anyone in need. He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Niegocki; children, Carol Tatom and Brian Niegocki and brother, Fred Niegocki. He is also survived by five grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being made by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel. Services will be held at Casas Church in Tucson on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
