KIMBROUGH, Robert B. "Bob" Was born in Winona, Mississippi to Robert and Wilamina Taylor Kimbrough on July 5, 1936. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Joyce, and his wonderful wife, Bobbie of 32 years. Bob completed his high school education in the United States Air Force (USAF). While pursuing his Air Force career, he was subsequently relocated to Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona in 1965. He remained in the Air Force for 20 years where he served honorably until his retirement in June, 1974. Bob continued his academic pursuits and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education, from the University of Arizona in 1976. As an educator, Bob was employed by the Tucson Unified School District, Tucson and retired from the District in 1996. He was known in the District as a skilled and caring educator. Bob was a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi, a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, and avid fisherman, a lover of Jazz music, and a loyal UofA basketball fan. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, uncle, and companion; he was also a friend to all who knew him. One of Bob's greatest passions was hosting a good party where a good time was had by all; because of his failing health he was unable to continue his much anticipated birthday celebration beyond July 5, 2011. Bob is survived by two sons, Troy M., and Todd R. (Roxie) Kimbrough; Grandchildren, Cameron R., Tiara D., Travon M., and Desmond T. Kimbrough; one great-grandchild, Elijah C. Kimbrough; one niece, Beverly (Pierre) Romeus; one nephew, Johnny Kimbrough; A Companion, Orra Chumnan Crippen; three great nieces, (Yonnie, Nicky, and Tawanda); one great nephew, Rodney Vaughan and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (SOUTH CHAPEL) 240 S.
