Linda Groen

68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2013. Linda was born in Auburn, IN on March 9, 1945; she graduated from Ashley HS in 1963. Linda and Bernie Groen were married on September 10, 1966. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Bernie; her daughter, Carmen Flowers; her twin sons, Alan Groen (Toni) and Bruce Groen (Tawnya); her 11 grandchildren, her two brothers, Dan Hamman (Jan) of GA and John Hamman (Gaylene) of CO; six nieces, 12 great-nieces and nephews and one aunt, Joan Ramsey of IN. Bernie and Linda were farmers in Remington, IN, until they moved their family and farm to Dalhart, TX in 1978. Then in 1987 they moved to Tucson where Linda worked as a self-employed bookkeeper. Linda loved music and used her talent to serve her Lord by singing in the choir and being the church pianist in the various churches she attended for the last 40 years. The last few years Linda enjoyed giving her time and love to working with the preschool children at her church. If you choose to make a donation in Linda's honor, her desire would be for it to go to the new preschool building fund at Mt. View Baptist Church, 3500 W. Overton Rd., Tucson, AZ 85742. There will be a Visitation at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., Oro Valley on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Mt. View Baptist Church (Tucson).
