Luis Ramón Cruz

60, passed away April 22, 2013 after a heroic battle against head and neck cancer. Preceded in death by his parents, Tomasa and Basilio; brother, Basilio Jr. and sister, Josefina. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Rosemary; daughter, Danielle (Kevin) Schroeder; sons, Andrew and Christopher; grandsons, Lucas and Theodore; sisters, Maria Dolores, Ana Luisa and Rosa Delia; brothers, Juan, Angel, Raul, Nelson and Carlos; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Born in Puerto Rico, he moved to Tucson from NYC in 1991. A talented athlete, he was the first in his family to obtain his B.A. in 1975. He helped countless people as a Behavioral Health Counselor, specializing in addiction/DUI counseling. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, in Oro Valley with Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Donations may be made in honor of his life's work at Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
