Mary Jane Records

(nee: Williams)

Mary was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1926. She passed after a very brief illness on July 30, 2014. She was proud to be an Arizona native. Mary was the youngest of four daughters born to Ruth Ann (nee: Bowdoin) and William Daniel Williams. Mary and her sisters, Cathryn, Pauline and Marge grew up playing along the bank of the Arizona canal, in the area around 16th Street and Indian School Rd. She attended North High, graduating in 1946. She married Edward L. Wilkinson in 1944 and raised their two daughters in Phoenix and then in Tucson starting in 1962, when Ed was transferred by Mountain Bell Telephone and Telegraph Co. They divorced in 1972. Mary married Lawrence B. Wilson, a Tucson native in 1972. They built a home in the Chile Flats area off of Tanque Verde Loop Rd in eastern Tucson where they lived together for 25 years before his death in 1997. Mary sold their home and moved to Fellowship Square in 2003, where she lived happily until her death. In 2003 Mary married Walter R. Records. Walt died in 2005. The last and happiest year of her life began when she and Joseph Schwab fell in love and devoted the rest of their lives to each other. Mary is survived by her sister, Pauline Rushing; daughters, Susanne Lasseter (Jack) and Trudy Richard; her grandchildren, Deborah Kennedy, Andrew Lasseter, Nancy Brown, Kelly Travis and Amy Kleinhans and great- grandchildren, Megan and Hannah Kennedy, Carter and Keira Brown and Eva and Ashlynn Kleinhans. She is also survived by her beloved Joe Schwab and a large and adoring extended family. Since 1989 Mary was an active and dedicated member of Desert Skies United Methodist Church, 3255 N. Houghton Rd., Tucson, AZ where a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary's favorite charity: Echoing Hope Ranch, P.O.
