Norma J. Garner

87, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, surrounded by family. Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by Ed, her husband of 63 years; her parents, Grace and Carl Kohlbecker and her brother, Carl "Coke" Kohlbecker. Norma is survived by her children, Susan Easton of Mesa, Jim (Nancy) Garner of Warrensburg, IL, Greg (Jean) Garner of Tucson and Julie (Scott) Kaveloh of Tucson. Also survived by ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sister, Mary (Dick) Rountree of Decatur, IL. Norma was born in Decatur, IL and moved to Tucson in 1971. She was a member of Cortaro Vista Community Church in Tucson and was a caregiver to both young and old. Norma loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching her two dogs, playing cards and board games and working puzzles. Norma will be missed terribly but longing to join Ed in the arms of her Savior, Jesus. Visitation Friday, December 27, 2013, 10:00 a.m. until Service time at 11:00 a.m. at EVERGREEEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, with Pastor Ted Vandeberg officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
