Reata A. Lacy McNutt

died December 5, 2012 in Charleston, IL. Born October 19, 1915 on Mapletown Farm outside Charleston, IL. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer A. Ashbrook and Maggie Reat; brother, Ralph Ashbrook and sisters, Louise Edwards and Dorothy Adkins. Married Charles M. Lacy in 1937, deceased in 1968. Later married Jack T. McNutt of Charleston, IL, deceased in 2010. Survived by Lacy children: Pat (Frank) Whiting, Charlene (Bob) Wolfe and Tim Lacy (Deena Perry). Grandchildren, Dr. Jamie Whiting (Patrick Holehan), Linda (John) Bylina, Kimberly (Mike) Grigsby, Stuart (Julie) Cunningham, Barbara (George) Ball, Jess Lacy (Chad Custer), Joaquin Lacy. Also survived by ten great-grandchildren. McNutt family: James L. (Sabina, deceased) McNutt Sr. and Lynn (Gary) Cunningham, Judy Samuelson (deceased); three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Reata was a kind, caring and considerate woman. She loved being with her families - both of them. One of her greatest joys was providing meals for family gatherings. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Charleston and had been a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tucson. Her graveside service is being held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or Trinity Presbyterian Church.
