Sheila Maeve Callahan Pattison
69 years of age, passed June 23, 2014 in Tucson, AZ. Sheila was born April 4th, 1945 in Morristown, NJ and was the fourth child to Frank and Mary Callahan. Sheila was a 1963 graduate of Rincon High School in Tucson and continued her education with a degree from the U of A and a Master's Degree from Eastern New Mexico State University. Sheila worked in libraries from high school until retiring in Tucson helping young children to become familiar with reading and the art of storytelling. An unfortunate fall in 2004 disabled her and severely stole from an active life she so cherished with her hiking friends. Throughout the last 10 years Sheila fought daily to squeeze every bit of life she had left. She is now at peace. She was dearly loved by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed. Sheila had a son, Chris Cundy (Jane); granddaughter, Natasha; stepson, Bill Pattison (Cris); stepdaughter, Marti; brothers, Mike (Liz) and Terry Callahan; sisters, Susan Campbell and Moira Hoskins (Steven) along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 at the Visitors Center at Sabino Canyon where she helped children as a volunteer for many years. Arrangements of cremation done by Desert Rose Heather Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of the Library Assn.
