Thomas H. Maher
was called home on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country both in the Air Force and as a Federal Drug Enforcement agent. Tom was the Special Agent-in-Charge of the Tucson office from 1976-1980. From there he was transferred to the American Embassy in London to be the Special Agent-in-Charge of their office. After retiring from the DEA, Tom was made Head of Narcotics for the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. In later life, he became a security representative for the NBA, specifically the Phoenix Suns. During his retirement, Tom enjoyed many travels with his late wife, Ellen, was a golf fanatic, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Tom is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (James) McGuire and his grandchildren, Sean and Erin. We Miss you! A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow immediately at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.
