Wayne E. Wiant

84, loving husband, father and grandfather, found eternal rest and peace with his Lord on August 25, 2013. He was born in Canton, OH to Edward and Myrtle Wiant, graduated from Ohio State University, was in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War, and made his career as an engineer and international marketing executive at Goodyear Aerospace for 35 years. Wayne served the church as a deacon, elder and Stephen's Minister. He also served his community as a member of Oro Valley Planning and Zoning and the American Legion. Wayne's greatest joy was his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Mae; daughters, Carolyn (Michael) Rapp and Susan (Scott) Lardner; grandchildren, Kristen (James) Horton, Kevin Lardner and Hannah Rapp. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte, 85704 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wayne's memory may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Capital Campaign.
