The winning recipe of our Facebook baking contest is Chocolate Butterscotch Chow Mein Clusters by Carolyne Addison.

Rick Wiley / Arizona Daily Star

We put a call out on Facebook and the Star’s website for recipes for your favorite homemade holiday treats — with a free cookbook as an incentive to a reader chosen at random — and received instructions on how to make everything from rum balls with ground chipotle to this amazing four-ingredient recipe.

Can you say “last-minute gift”?

Carolyne Addison shared this super-simple recipe, saying, “My family loves these addicting and easy-to-make Chocolate Butterscotch Chow Mein Clusters.”

Don’t be taken aback by the chow mein noodles — they’re fun and crunchy and make the clusters look like porcupines. Hard to top that.
