The Presidio Museum’s Board of Trustees is hosting a fundraising evening on Saturday, Sept. 23, in the historic Presidio District.

The event is $95 per person, $180 for two. Proceeds will benefit the Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum, and $45 of the price is tax deductible.

As of Tuesday, there were still a few openings. Reserve tickets at TucsonPresidio.com or call 837-8119.

The evening starts at 5 p.m. on the Presidio Museum’s Territorial Patio, 196 N. Court Ave., with agave spirit tastings presented by Young’s Market along with: Chamucos Tequila Blanco, Reposado and Añejo; Por Siempre Sotol; Agave de Cortes Mezcal and the starter, chile relleno con queso along with musical accompaniment by Kersting and Hall.

At 6 p.m., the event moves to The La Cocina Patio. Dinner starts with an autumn vegetable salad drizzled with Presidio fig vinaigrette and housemade Sonoran white wheat baguette.

From there, diners get an entree choice between:

Lemon caper penne with choice of mesquite-smoked chicken or salmon.

Red wine braised pot roast with mild roasted chile.

Roasted vegetable napoleon with herbed goat cheese and balsamic reduction.

There is also a choice of a signature La Cocina cocktail.

Dessert is local pecan and quince mousse cake with gluten-free pecan crust and mesquite honey syrup.
