Wickett — Domestic Shorthair Mix

Needs: Wickett needs a home where he can watch birds from the window, and he’d prefer to be the only pet.

Needs: Everything is still just a bit overwhelming for Pretty Penny, who is a tiny dog in a big shelter, so she needs a family who will help her gently come out of her shell.

Qualities: Tina generously shares her boxer loyalty and good manners as she waits for “Mr. (or Mrs.) Right.” She adores people (including kids), and is fine on leash when other dogs walk by.

Holly—Pixie-Bob X

Age: 1 year.

Qualities: Sweet, playful and full of energy, she is a little cross-eyed, so her depth perception is off. Holly loves attention, but can get overstimulated at times. She’s quite a funny kitty-character.

Needs: Because she has FIV, she should be an only cat; she doesn’t do well with other kitties. Needs a family who will play with her, and understand that sometimes she just doesn’t see things very well, as adorable as that can be!

Qualities: He leads, loads, loves to be groomed, is very gentle and gets along with other horses.

Qualities: Jake is a gorgeous black and tan coonhound who is great with kids, cats and dogs. He is very mellow for his breed, and has good leash skills!

Sasha – Rottweiler Mix

Age: 8 years.

Qualities: Sasha’s unusual red color, stunning good looks and cheery disposition get her tons of attention at the dog park. She is very obedient and eager to please, knows several commands, and can be left alone with no destruction. She is great with all dogs, although probably does best with big dogs, and is great with children age 10 or older. Sasha has incredible stamina and would be a perfect running/hiking partner. She is reliably housetrained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, licensed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Qualities: Becca is a lovely mix of boxer and bulldog, and is big enough to make an excellent pillow for watching TV! Becca is great with people and kids.

Needs: She is great with a submissive male or as the only dog in your home.

Tank — DSH Tuxedo

Age: 4 months.

Qualities: He got his name because he is the biggest of a litter of six. His personality is “all boy”— he loves to wrestle with his siblings, explores everything, and then loves to snuggle down in a nice, warm lap for some serious attention. Tank loves people, especially if they have toys that “move,” like a feather wand.

Needs: An indoor-only home.

Fee: $50. His “mom” Annie would be free if adopted at the same time.

Mocha – Pittie Mix

Age: 2 years.

Qualities: Mocha is a pretty little girl who is wonderful in the house, gentle with people and kids (all ages!) and good with other dogs with a proper introduction. Her favorite things are toys!

Needs: Mocha will benefit from continued obedience training. Mocha’s caretaker must relocate to Germany, so finding her forever home has now become urgent.

Huey — Pit Bull Terrier

Age: 3½ years.

Qualities: Huey is one of four dogs our trainers took for rehabilitation after 65 dogs were seized from a fighting ring in Tennessee. Despite his past, he lives in the present and enjoys everything his new life has to offer with puppy-like enthusiasm. He is comical, lives for toys, and is having fun in all the ways he’s discovered since his rescue. He comes with lifelong training and support through Sol.Dog.

Needs: Huey would prefer a home without cats.
