Moises Orozco

The bright light from a welder shines on metal artist Moises Orozco as he works on the steel frame of a 12-foot disco ball which is scheduled to be used for Hotel Congress’ Studio 54-themed New Year’s Event. He started on the lower part of the sphere and will construct the other half afterward. Once complete, he will assemble the two pieces. Chicken wire, wet cardboard and other materials will be used to cover the ball which is expected to have a mylar surface to it in Tucson, Ariz. Photo taken on Thursday, December 20, 2012.
