Ryan “Archie” Miller will be paid $210,000 as an associate head coach to brother Sean Miller, heading what will be a slightly cheaper coaching staff than the Wildcat men’s basketball team had last season.

According to documents obtained by the Star on Wednesday, assistant coaches Emanuel “Book” Richardson and James Whitford are both contracted to earn $190,000 for a three-person total of $590,000.

Lute Olson’s staff entered last season with a total salary of $645,000, counting $375,000 for associate head coach Mike Dunlap, though Olson retired before the Wildcats’ first game and assistant coach Russ Pennell was raised from $120,000 to $500,000 for serving as interim head coach.

Archie Miller, 31, was an assistant coach at Ohio State last season and he has also worked on Herb Sendek’s staffs at ASU and N.C. State.

Richardson, 36, and Whitford, 37, were on Sean Miller’s staff last season at Xavier. Sean Miller will earn $2 million plus incentives as the head coach.
