Marie Chisholm-Burns, a top researcher and a department head at the College of Pharmacy, is leaving the University of Arizona.

She'll be the pharmacy dean at the University of Tennessee beginning in the spring semester.

She'll be taking with her about $8 million in external research funding.

The UA had recruited Chisholm-Burns to be the head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science in 2006. The College of Pharmacy is planning on a national search for a new department head.
