Ever wonder how to tell if thrift store finds are worth anything?

James Supp, an Antiques Roadshow appraiser, will be at the Assistance League Thrift Shop, 1307 N. Alvernon Way, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday to give tips on how to tell the difference between junk and treasure.

Supp will wander around the thrift store as he talks about what he finds on the shelves and how to discover valuable collectibles.

The event is free to attend.

Supp will also be an appraiser at the Whatz It Worth event on Feb. 16, which is an Assistance League fundraiser to benefit Operation School Bell. For information on Whatz It Worth, click here.
