Tucson Police Department's car seat technicians will teach classes about the proper use of car seats during the Kidz Expo Back to school event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at El Pueblo Regional Center, 101 W. Irvington Road.

There will be three classes during the event - two in Spanish and one in English. After attending the hour long class, parents will be given a free car seat. Registration for the classes will begin at 10 a.m. Ninety carseats - 30 per class - will be handed out at the event. Registration will be done on a first come first served basis. Parents or guardians must attend the entire class to receive a car seat.

Spanish classes are at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The English class is at 11:45 a.m.

More than 500 backpacks and school supplies will be given away at the event. There will also be health booths, back to school fashion shows, crafts and more.
