With the new year approaching, I've been seeing a lot of Facebook posts from friends who are going to try the 52 Week Money Challenge.

Have you heard of it?

It starts out easy, but I think the last couple months would be hard for me to swing. You start by depositing $1 the first week, $2 the next, then $3 and so on. The deposit amount coincides with the week number. You go up one dollar each week and if you stick to it, you'll have $1,378 by the end of the 52 weeks.

Some people said they were going to start with the last week because they feel it might be easier to deposit the larger amounts in the beginning.

There's even a Facebook group dedicated to the challenge where people can cheer each other on. The group is called Kassondra's 52 week Money Challenge if you want to join.

I'm thinking about trying this. How about you?
