A former prosecutor with the Pima County Attorney's Office and later the Arizona Attorney General's Office who was suspended from practicing law was reinstated.

The State Bar of Arizona in March ordered Richard Wintory to serve a 90-day suspension for violating professional standards in connection with a murder case.

From the State Bar news release:

"The Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Arizona Supreme Court has ordered that Richard M. Wintory of Tucson be reinstated as an active member of the State Bar of Arizona.

"Wintory has been reinstated as an active member of the State Bar of Arizona after serving a 90-day suspension that resulted from misconduct that was resolved by a consent agreement between him and the Bar.

"The reinstatement was effective, June 13, 2014."
