The Pima County Commission on Trial Court Appointments is seeking the public's input on 17 people who hope to replace Judge Michael Miller, who has left Pima County Superior Court for the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Although there are a couple of new names on the list, many have applied in the past.

The applicants are: Lisa Abrams, Sean Brearcliffe, Michael Butler, Dean Christoffel, Darlene Edminson-O’Brien, Brenden Griffin, Verne Hill, Peter  Hochuli, James Kaucher, Philip Kimble, Harriette Levitt, Wendy Million, Nanette Morrow, Bradley Roach, Christopher Straub, Angela Woolridge, and Wayne Yehling.

The commission will take public testimony Feb. 25 at 8:30 a.m. at the Tucson Police Department, 1310 W. Miracle Mile.

Citizens may address the commission at that meeting or send written comments to 1501 W. Washington, Suite 221, Phoenix, AZ, 85007 or to jnc@courts.az.gov.

Written comments must arrive by February 21, 2013 to be considered. Anonymous comments cannot be considered.

The commission will choose the applicants to be interviewed at the meeting Feb. 25.

The selected applicants will be interviewed March 18 and the commission will recommend at least three nominees for the vacancy to the governor, who will appoint the new judge.
