Deputy Pima County Attorneys Nicol Green (pictured) and Rick Unklesbay won a National District Attorney Association award for their successful prosecution of Pamela Phillips who was convicted of murder earlier this year.

Veteran Pima County Attorney's Office prosecutors Rick Unklesbay and Nicol Green recently received an award from the National District Attorney's Association for their work on a high-profile murder prosecution.

The two were given the "Homerun Hitters" award at a National District Attorney's Association event in Denver last month.

Unklesbay and Green successfully prosecuted former Tucsonan Pamela Phillips for the murder of her ex-husband Gary Triano in 1996. Nearly 18 years after Triano's death, Phillips was found guilty of the murder in Pima County Superior Court in April following a nearly two-month long trial.
