A Pima County Grand Jury has indicted a Tucson snowboarding instructor on several counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Alexander Peth, 23, is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl he met while working at a Sunrise ski area, according to a search warrant.

Peth was indicted on four counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

The girl’s family went to the ski area in the White Mountains during rodeo weekend and Peth was hired to give the girl lessons for three days.

The girl's father "noticed that Peth had taken an apparent interest in her and was spending a lot of time with her," the warrant stated. The father "confronted Peth and advised him that (she) was only 13 years old. Peth said he understood and just enjoyed skiing with her because she was a 'good learner.'

The girl exchanged contact information with Peth and they two learned the lived near each other.

In mid-March the girl’s parents called police after the girl told them she was having sex with Peth.

Detectives pretended to be the girl and sent text messages to Peth who admitted to having sex with her, according to the warrant.

Peth is scheduled to be arraigned on May 8.
