The trial of a Tucson man accused in a 2011 murder is scheduled to start today in Pima County Superior Court.

Bryan Lamar Lee, 22, stands accused of the first-degree murder of Jordan Peterson in November 2011.

A co-defendant in the case, Reed J. Marrone, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder last year and was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

In the agreement, Marrone admitted the killing was committed to avoid paying a drug debt he owed to Peterson.

A third defendant, Tyler Nicholas Brown, pleaded guilty to attempted concealment of a dead body and is scheduled for sentencing in May.

Peterson's body was found in the desert in Pinal County in January 2012.
