Arizona College Prep Academy recently released more details about the grand opening of its new building.

Former UA Swimmer and U.S. Olympic Swim Team Captain Crissy Ahmann-Perham is scheduled to attend the Aug. 7 opening at the school, 3434 E. Broadway.

Ahmann-Perham will give a short talk on the importance of education.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

There will also be food, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tours.

Arizona College Prep Academy was previously located near East Broadway and Kolb Road.

The school opened in July 2012.
