The Arizona Educational Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2014 Teacher of the Year.
The award recognizes exceptionally skilled and dedicated pre-K through 12th grade public school teachers who play an active role in their communities as well as their schools, going above and beyond to help students succeed.
The winning teacher will travel to Washington, D.C., to meet President Obama and will take home $15,000 in cash and other prizes.
Students, parents and co-workers from across the state are encouraged to submit a nomination by Monday. Forms are available at http://azedfoundation.org/programs/teacher-of-the-year
