Three candidates running for Pima County school boards

Two more candidates have filed to run for Pima County school boards since the filing period opened on Monday.

As of mid-day Friday, Anthony Sizer and Jon C. Aitken had filed paperwork to run for the Vail School District, which has two open seats. Also running for a governing board seat in the Tucson Unified School District is Francis Saitta, who submitted his paperwork on Monday.

Sizer is an engineer and Aitken is a banking center manager.

The Office of the Pima County School Superintendent began will continue to accept candidate filings through Aug. 6. The filing deadline for write-in candidates is Aug. 20.
