In honor of school being back in session, the Pima Animal Care Center is offering a free adoption of any pet for teachers through the month of August.

The offer also stands for professors, teaching assistants and tutors.

Licensing fees, which are $15 annually for altered dogs, still apply.

For others, pet adoptions are $35, plus the price of a license.

The Pima Animal Care Center, 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is open noon to 7 p.m. weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
