If you have some free time Saturday morning, take the kids to pick up some free books at the sixth annual Bilingual Literacy Fair.

Councilwoman Regina Romero and the Mexican Consulate in Tucson invite the public to attend the Feria de la Lectura at the El Pueblo Neighborhood Center, located at 101 West Irvington Road. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The first 1,200 attendees will receive free books in Spanish and free backpacks.

Story time readings will be held in both English and Spanish. Art projects, face painting, free snacks and other educational activities will be available as well.
