Macy’s customers will be able to help spruce up a Tucson park.

The city's Michael Perry Park was selected for the “Heart Your Park” campaign, an effort by Macy's and a national non-profit organization to raise money for local parks across the country.

From March 7 to March 31, Macy’s customers can donate at the register, with 100 percent of the donations benefiting Michael Perry Park.

In addition, Macy’s will match dollar for dollar total customer donations, up to $250,000 in all.

Donations will go toward making improvements, such as maintaining trails, playgrounds, ball fields, and more.

City officials welcome the help.

“This park is a great asset to the community, and we greatly appreciate Macy’s support,” said Fred Gray, Director of Tucson Parks and Recreation in a press release.

Michael Perry Park, located at 8700 E. Arbor Street, is one of over 550 parks nationwide that will benefit from the campaign.
