Tucson Medical Center will offer a free information session about bladder health for women this Thursday, Oct. 25.

The 90-minute session is scheduled for 5 p.m. at TMC's El Dorado Health Campus, 1400 N. Wilmot Road. Call 324-1960 to register.

Dr. Susan Kalota will talk about urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pain and discomfort in the bladder and pelvic area, urinary tract infections and treatment options.

More than 17 million women are coping with urinary incontinence and 25 percent of women will deal with it before they turn 45.

TMC for Women blogger Rachel Miller wrote about urinary incontinence in younger women earlier this month and hospital officials say the amount of interest in the subject was so high they decided to hold a session about it.
