Anyone with questions about enrolling in insurance through the Affordable Care Act will be able to get information at a health fair scheduled for this Saturday.
The fair, which will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Armory Park and Armory Park Center downtown, is part of the citywide Beyond event, which occurs every year on a Saturday in early January to commemorate the anniversary of the Jan. 8, 2011, Tucson shootings that killed 6 and injured 13, including then-U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
The event is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community and encourages Arizonans to come together, get outside and be physically active.
Among information for people with questions about the Affordable Care Act will be a power point presentation on how to sign up every 30 minutes, plus in-person help signing up with federally-certified navigators.
Mobile health vans will be on-site to do screenings and education. Among the entities represented will be Tucson Medical Center, the University of Arizona Medical Center, and the Pima County Health Department.
