Tucson residents Gabrielle Giffords and Retired Col. Bill Badger appear in a new music video by Gospel singer Mandisa that premiered on Good Morning America Thursday.

The song is called "Overcomer." Warning: have a box of tissues nearby when watching.

The video features Good Morning America host Robin Roberts battling myelodysplastic syndrome - an illness that required her to undergo a bone marrow transplant last year.

Others in the video include Olympic gold medal figure skater Scott Hamilton, who struggled with health issues as a child and underwent surgery in recent years for a benign brain tumor, and Hannah Curlee, who appeared on television's Biggest Loser show and lost 120 pounds.

Parts of the video include footage of Giffords' recovery after being shot through the brain on Jan. 8, 2011, plus more recent footage in and around Tucson. In one scene, she appears with Badger inside a local watering hole - The Shanty.

Badger is credited with preventing more people from getting killed or injured in the Tucson shooting as he tackled and pushed gunman Jared Lee Loughner to the ground. Badger has had his own health struggles, having suffered a stroke since the shooting.
