Pima Animal Care Center is waiving adoption fees for all adult cats in June, which is national Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month.

That means you can get a vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered cat at no cost.

The county-run shelter, at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, overflows with kittens this time of year, so the free-cat special is aimed at making room for the kittens and cats dropped off there every day.

The shelter is open noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

You can view adoptable animals at online.

For more information call the shelter at 243-5900.
