With its Aug. 24 charity golf tournament, American Legion Oro Valley Post 132 will raise money to support local soldiers and families.

The post has adopted members of the Afghanistan-deployed Bravo Company — as well as the recently returned Alpha Company — of  the Arizona Army National Guard 1/285th Helicopter Battalion. Tournament proceeds will help returning soldiers adapt to post-deployment life, as well as to aid their families.

The tournament will be held at Vistoso Golf Club, 955 W Vistoso Highlands Dr. Entrance cost is $65 per player, with fees covering the cart rental, range balls and lunch.
