Casa Grande Municipal Airport will play a significant role in an October air show.

The facility will operate as a non-towered airport for the Copperstate Fly-In & Aviation Expo, Oct. 24-26. Usually the airport operates a tower for the event, but new Federal Aviation Administration regulations require hefty fees for such an operation. That's why, for the first time in the event's 40 years, the airport will operate without using its tower. Pilots will follow standard practices for using non-towered airports.

For more information on the event, visit http://www.copperstate.org/csj/ online.
